Pregnancy and infant loss is a devastating event, often shrouded in silence. These families carry the weight of their grief, both emotional and physical, and may feel isolated. This is particularly true for the mother, who can face additional stigma and shame.
Park Slope Parents wants to break the silence. We believe families deserve support and a safe space to grieve.
Introducing the Healing Bench at Green-Wood Cemetery
In honor of Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month (October), Park Slope Parents is sponsoring a special bench at Greenwood Cemetery. This bench will serve as a physical space for families to remember their lost loved ones, find solace, and connect with others who share their experience.
Located near the tranquil koi pond and shaded by beautiful bamboo, the "Garden Mausoleum 1" bench (as seen on the map) aims to be a haven for reflection and healing.
