Requirements for Posting About a Night Nanny

Want to recommend a night nanny or newborn care specialist (aka night nurse/baby nurse) through PSP?  Please read the article below for post guidelines and a copy of our required template for recommendations:

 A Note on Terms

PSP refers to nannies who provide nighttime care for newborns as “night nannies” or “newborn care specialists.”  We only use the terms “night nurse” or “baby nurse” if the person is licensed as a nurse, out of respect for their license and expertise.

Requirements to Post

You must be a Park Slope Parents member to post a recommendation. If you are not a member already, you can join Park Slope Parents here. Your application will be reviewed, and after you are accepted and submit payment, we’ll add you separately to the Advice and Classifieds groups, where you can post your recommendation.

If you’re already an active member on Park Slope Parents, please carefully follow the below guidelines to post about your night nanny:

  • Use the PSP template, provided below
  • Double check your subject line: It should say “Night Nanny." Do NOT include instructions in the subject, such as “Please post this night nanny rec.”
  • Send your post to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

  • Individual PSP members can post night nanny recommendations once every 6 months. This is different than our post timecycle for recommendations of regular nannies, who are generally employed for longer periods of time.
  • Approvals can take a bit longer for these recommendations than other posts; as with other childcare posts, we take extra care when we review these and may add some moderators' notes.
  • You will not automatically receive an email copy of your post once it’s up. If you'd like to see your post, search the PSP Messages in the Classifieds: https://groups.parkslopeparents.com/g/Classifieds/messages
