Question :
My (soon to be kindergarten) daughter's in camp through lunchtime, but we're looking to fill up the rest of the day ... (she also has a baby brother).
Also, any good suggestions for afternoon drop-in activities this summer? Outdoor classes? Puppet shows? Things like that?
This mom needs a break from the playground ;)
Answers:
The New York City Youth Guide to Summer Fun is Available. The guide is a broad citywide calendar of family-oriented events and resources published annually by DYCD .
This link will direct you as to what week you wish to download. (rather than downloading the entire book.)

Usually these are all free activites or very low cost.

how about the concerts in carroll park, accessible by the F train or the Union Street bus. 4 more concerts on Wed's in July and August - check out the lineup! the music is great, concerts are free with a small suggested donation to help keep things running. there will be arts and food available for purchase, all proceeds benefit the committee to improve carroll park.
