Comment:  If you want to venture out a bit (wider range of exercise types including pilates movements), I'd recommend Fit Pregnancy Club (it's in Manhattan unfortunately) or working with Audrey (my trainer) or Ania (owner) with MommyFitNYC.

Comment:  You could consider Joanie Johnson, founder of the Fit Pregnancy Club. The gym is closed but she’s training clients virtually. She is a friend and I have not used her, but from her InstaGram, it looks like she’s really helping moms out there! Here is her LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/joaniejohnson1Here is the FPC website: https://www.fitpregnancyclub.com/

Comment:  In the last week or so I’ve been doing FPC (fit pregnancy club) NYC and I really like it! I do their online workouts which are $20 a month after a free trial. They also have free workouts on Instagram TV and possibly some live classes...?They always incorporate pelvic floor work, breathing exercises, cardio, strength and stretching. Been doing one every day and i always feel great after. I like that although there are options and modifications, everything is designed for the pregnant body. Even transitions like getting up from lying down are done in a way that’s tailored to our bodies right now. And because of the pelvic floor work and breathing I feel like I’m getting a little labor prep built in :)

Comment:  They're based in NYC and I have attended the live class which I do like more than the virtual, but for right now, i throw a few of these in to mix things up. These don't feel as challenging as the others.

    Subject:  Prenatal Exercise Classes?
Comment:  I've done a class at Fit Pregnancy Club in Soho that was actually challenging and felt great to move my body again. They incorporate light weights and really focus on pelvic floor work. It's a little pricier, I think $30 or $40 a class which is a draw back and the fact it's in the city. (November 2019)

Comment:  I went to FPC (fit pregnancy club) from 20 weeks. Pelvic floor exercises are heavily incorporated and modified abdominal exercises to prevent or lessen DR. The exercises also focused on being able to get up from the ground with your baby (which I had to do way more than expected). I had a heavy guy, so the workouts definitely helped! Helped with getting the dude out, as well. You can get details here: https://www.fpc-nyc.com/*There are postpartum classes as well, it was just too much of a hassle for me to get to the city with a newborn during mat leave.
