Comment:   I haven't been to either, but in case the reviews are not good, you could also check out the Brooklyn Bavarian Biergarten at Grand Prospect Hall in South Slope. It's been great for several of us Summer 2015 moms with kids.

Comment:  For those with toddlers/babies, I want to shout-out a kid-friendly business. Brooklyn Bavarian Beer Garden on Prospect Avenue (http://brooklynbavarianbiergarten.com/) has good bar food, a great beer selection, and very warm service. Its a huge space, great for wandering toddlers while parents have a beer and soft pretzels and latkes. It's a good winter afternoon meet-up spot.Disclaimer: I'm not affiliated but last week they told me they are thinking of closing until Spring due to lack of customers, and I don't want to lose my socializing spot!
