On the last Sunday of each month, Brooklyn Friends hosts a Community Dinner for those in need. They provide a hot meal and a spirit of community to all their guests as well as offering donated groceries and clothing to those who need them.
Volunteer opportunities:
Volunteers help with set up, meal service, and clean up. Volunteers also help sort and distribute donated clothing and groceries that are available for dinner guests to take with them.
Donations are also accepted of desserts (for the dinner) and clothing (adults, particularly seasonal clothing in large men's sizes), and canned goods.
Times:
Last Sunday of each month from 1 to 4:30 pm. Volunteers can come from 1 to 2:15 to help with set up, 2:15 to 4 to help with service, and/or 4 to 4:30 to help clean.
Donations can also be accepted at other times, email to set up a drop off time.
