Comment:  The Community Dinner hosted by Brooklyn Friends is a wonderful opportunity to volunteer with young kids. They host a dinner for community members in need on the last Sunday of every month. This is VERY family friendly - kids of all ages are welcome and will get age appropriate tasks (I've been there with parents and their infants handing out cookies - they will accommodate!)Volunteers are needed from 1:30-4 pm. Some months they need help for the full time. Sometimes they can accommodate if you want to only volunteer for set up, etc. The dinner is at 110 Schermerhorn St, right off Atlantic Ave.Here is a description from Abby, the Community Dinner Coordinator: We host a dinner the last Sunday of every month for anyone who needs a free meal. We serve about 80 guests and need 25 volunteers to pull off the preparation and serving. We start setting up/cooking at 1:30 and the guests arrive at 3:00. This is a great opportunity to volunteer as a family. Kids of all ages are welcome. We usually assign one kid per table to take orders and serve the meal. Kids usually love being able to help in such a direct and meaningful way.More info and contact on the PSP website here https://www.parkslopeparents.com/5477_Brooklyn-Meeting-of-the-Religious-Society-of-Friends.html
