Comment:  We found Left Turn Driving School on PSP for our son, and they were really great. We used Valerly 'cause when I spoke with the helpful receptionist and described my son to her, we decided together he would be the best match (though a bit more expensive than his son Alex.) And my son loved him and loved working with him. I just checked online, and now they have a new teacher, Anastasia that some folks are raving about, and someone wrote a review that they took lessons from all their teachers and liked them all. Anyway, I think you'd do well with the school - we've heard bad reviews from many other places. Left Turn Driving picks up and drops you off. Valerly is not always on time, if that matters to you. But he keeps you updated by cell. Fortunately, that didn't matter to us.

Comment:  my 17-year-old has been taking lessons with this school. Her instructor is Anastasia and I can't recommend her more highly. And it's cheaper than I thought it would be. Anastasia picks her up at our place in Bed-Stuy and drops her off when they are done. They do so anywhere in Brooklyn. We've progressed to the point where after 3 lessons I let my daughter drive when we leave the city limits (limitation of NYS learner's permit for under-18-year-old), something I would never have been able to do before the lessons.

Comment:  I had a similar post a while ago and didn't receive any responses, but I've also ended up taking lessons with Left Turn Driving School. I've been putting off learning to drive since high school too and now really wish I'd done it before moving to New York... but it's been going well and I will be taking my test soon. Anastasia is my instructor, and she's been very patient with me, yet persistent, which has been a good combination. Good luck!September 2012

Comment:  Valery and his son taught me how to drive, I got my first license at age 43! I passed the road test with a perfect score. He will pick you up at your house, even schedule and drive you to the road test when you are ready.September 2012
