Volunteer Opportunities
Park Slope Parents is passionate about helping people. This website section helps our members find volunteer opportunities that are flexible and family-friendly. Click on any of the organizations below to find out more about their goals, volunteer activities, schedules, and more!
Just think with just a little help from PSP members, and their kids and partners, the sky is the limit on what a difference we can make!
If you have specific interests, questions or you know of a non-profit that could use our help!, email volunteer@parkslopeparents.com
In addition, here are some outside volunteer resources available:

Brooklyn Animal Action is a Brooklyn-based group of volunteers committed to improving the lives of animals in distress, facilitating Trap-Neuter-Return programs, finding homes for adoptable animals, performing community outreach and education, and engaging in advocacy. Since 2010, BAA has rehomed over 600 cats, as well as the occasional dog or pigeon.
Volunteer opportunities:
Visit cats being fostered in the neighborhood to give them social attention, or foster a cat in your home until it can be placed in a permanent home. Volunteers also help with transportation, computer support, photography of cats up for adoption, and many other flexible projects. See http://brooklynanimalaction.org/volunteer for more details.
Donations of cat food, toys, kitty litter, or other cat supplies are always needed. Email for drop off information.
Ages:
Most projects are for adult volunteers. Older kids are welcome to visit fostered cats and school volunteer credit sign-off is available.
If you are interested in donating items they may be dropped off at The Attic, Monday through Saturdays, from 9am to 5pm, or you can call Sandra at 718-433-4724 ext 10 to arrange for a pick-up.
