Comment:  Bend and Bloom Yoga has outdoor yoga classes in Prospect Park 4-5x a week:https://www.bendandbloom.com/outdoor-classes-faqsThey are a wonderful yoga studio that just recently lost their space on Sackett St so they are online and outdoor only right now for classes. They are also the ones who run the Thursday night classes on Long Meadow during the summer, you may have seen all 300+ of us there in previous summers (it had to be entirely on Zoom this season). They have really great teachers!

Comment:  Weekend Intensive childbirth education at Bend and Bloom Yoga center (Brooklyn) Lena was an incredible instructor. She was thorough and knowledgeable and made herself available after class to talk about anything else that you might need. She was also instrumental in helping us find the right doula. She is the owner of Red Moon Wellness also, which is an incredible wellness center and gives amazing prenatal massages. They saved my back pre- and post birth.

Comment:  I am excited to see that Bend & Bloom Yoga in Park Slope is offering a weekly virtual Breastfeeding Support Clinic on Thursday’s at 1pm. I found these sessions immensely helpful when I had a newborn in 2017, and I am hoping they continue through the fall for my second child. The sessions are led by a lactation consultant, and the sense of community with the other parents is truly invaluable.widgets.mindbodyonline.comI am not affiliated with Bend & Bloom — just hoping to see this support group continue to thrive.

Comment:  Bend and Bloom has good prenatal yoga via zoom! They do it a few times a week and it's $10 a class. I like the instructor on Sundays best but I've been doing it on Fridays since my company reduced us to a 4-day week and that one is still good too--helpful to have someone force me to move around for an hour!

Comment:  I highly recommend Bend and Bloom. They have several yoga classes streaming a day, as well as an amazing Pilates class (called Ground control), and yoga for kids. You can pay per class or, if you have a membership, you can take as many classes as you like. Classes are streamed live, but you also get a link for each class you sign up for, and the video of the class is available for 24 hours.

Comment:  Believe Bend & Bloom yoga still has infant care classes. We went to one while waiting for our first and it was helpful, a mix of what to expect (all colors of poop!) to how to diaper or soothe a baby and breastfeeding. We felt very comfortable with the teacher, neither pushed to be full-granola nor the other end.

    Subject:  Prenatal Exercise Classes?
Comment:  Just an FYI: I tried the prenatal yoga at Bend+Bloom and did not enjoy it at all. The teacher is very nice, but it wasn’t much of a workout (just a lot of downward dog and deep breathing). There was also a fair bit of partner work (partnered with whoever happened to be sitting next to you), which involved relatively intimate touching. Nothing inherently wrong with that, but it was far outside my comfort zone and I would have liked to have some warning about it.

She teaches a Wednesday class that offers one on one help. I’ll be there next week! She also gives great massage at her home that always starts with a tutorial on exercises that can help your particular problem.
