Comment:  I love the Greek restaurant Faros -- delicious food, warm service and wonderful with kids, great for a large family dinner or brunch -- though sadly I see the building and the restaurant space are listed for sale. So go now while it's still there.

Comment:  Faros, a Greek restaurant on 7th Ave, has a spacious banquet room on the 2nd floor (elevator access) and is kid friendly. Attended a luncheon to celebrate a christening. Attentive and accommodating staff. Tasty food.www.farosny.com

Comment:  I will second the rec for Faros on 7th. Food is delish, portions are large, they now have their liquor license, and the staff is very well organized. The owner is often at the bar and is happy to chat with you. We bring our almost 4-month-old all the time and they're always accommodating.

Comment:  I know people are always looking for restaurant ideas so I thought I would share a positive experience. We ordered in from Faros this past week and it was some of the best Greek food I've ever had. We noticed today that they had accidentally run our card twice (they had a problem running it that night so I'm sure it wasn't intentional.) When I stopped by today they were absolutely above and beyond accommodating. The owner even came over, apologized profusely and offered me dessert while they sorted it out. (The rice pudding is amazing.) Anyway, I love supporting local places especially when they're really good... so try it if you're in the mood for Greek!(Feb 2012)
