Comment:   I have seen Laura Collins on and off for 2.5 years and she's wonderful. She's a LCSW and does talk therapy (can't prescribe meds), but is helpful for all things parenting, as well as general anxiety and depression issues. I can't recommend her highly enough. She does take Cigna, but she currently only has Saturday appointments.(November 2014)

Comment:  You'll want to double check with your insurance provider, but I saw Laura Collins (who is AWESOME!!) with Cigna. I have a different plan as I do have out of network coverage, but Laura was in network for the time I saw her (I stopped about 9 months ago) and my co-pay was $40 each visit.I can't say enough good things about Laura. If you haven't already, check out her website-she has a blog and you can get a sense of her work through that.(November 2014)

Comment:  I highly recommend Laura Collins. She is a very special therapist, highly attentive and a great listener but also outcome focused. She is a realist and can help you mourn and honor the loss of one on one time with your older boy while preparing you for the realities of parenting two close together and what that will look like. She also accepts some insurance and has an office on Sackett and 5th.

Comment:  I am extremely grateful that I found Laura when I did. I was reeling from some major life changing events that all happened within a year of each other-getting married, losing my mother suddenly, the birth of my first child-and she is helping me navigate all of the emotions around all of those things. I have been seeing her for about six months and plan to continue for a long time to come, she has made such a difference in my life. I have better communication with my husband, I feel more in control of my emotions around parenting and I have been able to enjoy my child much more since beginning therapy. Laura is extremely patient, flexible (allowing me to schedule a phone session at the last minute because my kid is sick, for example) and kind, but also engaging and honest. She gives homework. She talks as much as she listens. She is a partner in problem solving.Insurance Issues She takes Cigna
