At Elite Minds Montessori we offer a nurturing multilingual (English and French) environment where children can develop their unique skills and potential by engaging their minds in art, music and play in a traditional Montessori setting.

Our typical day will include the following:

Focus on five areas of Montessori learning:
*Practical life skills, Sensorial activities, Mathematics, Literacy and Cultural Studies
*2 - 3 hours of daily uninterrupted work cycle
*Strong focus on arts enrichment including music, weekly artist study and project, yoga, movement and gardening with a farm to table experience
    *Daily mindfulness activities
*Daily outdoor play at Mother Cabrini Park
*Frequent visits to South Brooklyn Children's Garden

    Summer Camp: July 6 - August 14
Our days are spent learning and playing, utilizing the Montessori Teaching Method. We are members of our local children’s garden where we go twice a week to plant and grow. We take weekly trips to Brooklyn Bridge Park and Mother Cabrini playground. We have enrichment programs that include a healthy chef to teach our children about garden-to-table cooking using the veggies we grow in our garden, music, yoga, art programs, and daily mindfulness are also important parts of our weekly camp days.

Comment:  Not in Park Slope, but for those of you in the Carroll Gardens, Cobble Hill area, our son goes to EMM (a small Montessori). They still have openings for next year and for summer camp, and offer several different schedules/tuitions:https://www.elitemindsmontessori.com/Highly recommend it if you want something small and community centric. We'll be sending J. there for his Pre-K 4s year.

Comment:  I am so happy my son found a loving and welcoming preschool when we moved to this neighborhood. The teachers are genuinely concerned, take their dual language teaching seriously but are warm, fun and loving. They have built a beautiful community of families and it's all thanks to their leadership and commitement. … About the facility: Has afterschool options, Has early morning hours … What would you change?
