There is a NY chapter that has monthly meetings on Sundays in the building that houses Whole Foods on Bowery and Houston in Manhattan, and a Yahoogroup for nuts-and-bolts stuff (not for topical discussions). The national organization also has a Brooklyn chapter you can access once you join.
Parents Without Partners is the largest international, nonprofit membership organization devoted to the welfare and interests of single parents and their children. There are local chapters in Bensonhurst & Staten Island. With it's own stand alone website and regular meetings on the second and fourth Monday of the month, the Staten Island chapter is active & dedicated to connecting families with each other
