Comment:  Review: My child enjoyed the content of the camp. Great experience learning basic programming on several different platforms. Good camper to counselor ratio. Beautiful facilities. They also provide snacks for the kids. What would you change about the program, if anything? There were several major problems with this camp. First, their bus service was interminably long. 1 hour and 20 minutes from Park Slope to the Financial District. The bus was not air conditioned and thus like an oven on the many hot days this summer. We were forced to use aftercare and take our child on the subway to and from, making it very inconvenient for us. The aftercare was a joke: they said in their materials that this was a time kids could play games or continue to work on their projects. Every single child there brought an ipad and the "counselors" sat there reading books, not offering to engage the children would didn't have devices by playing the unopened board games. I did not feel that the overall experience was a great value for the money. It was a very expensive camp, and the thoughtlessness of hiring a bus without air conditioning in the summer was very concerning.

Comment:  Program: Camp PixelAge of Child: 12Likes: Lots of great options in tech including music sampling 3D game design and Minecraft modding What would you change? A bit less expensive ... or an included longer day ... camp goes to 3:30pm,Would you send your child(ren) again? YesDo you recommend? Highly recommendDo you have any other information to add?Though this is a tech camp and kids are indoors, they do take the kids out to the park and take regular screen breaks .. It's very creative and the staff is very nice ... Lots of terrific equipment and enough for all kids. Will be signing up for their afterschool program, as well.
