Comment:  I started late in my pregnancy with prenatal yoga, but I am SO GLAD I DID. It really relieved a ton of my anxiety, and it was a really nice community, too. I loved the classes at Bend & Bloom--especially Cassie Naaktgeboren's classes. She had a wonderfully calm, serene, and sweet presence that really put me at ease.Based on a February 2016 birthing experience

Comment:  Bend and Bloom yoga studio offers many pre-natal yoga classes. During my pregnancy, going to the Sunday morning class was one of the highlights of my week. It was so nice to be in a room with other expectant moms and learn ways to stretch my body to feel more comfortable - particularly in the third trimester. Bend and Bloom also offers new parent support classes and parent/baby yoga.Based on a January 2016 birthing experience

Comment:  I take yoga at Bend and Bloom from Maya Ray-Schoenfeld, and I know that she does rolfing and CST as well. I can’t vouch for her CST, but I love her yoga class and really like her as well.

Comment:  Breastfeeding Support GroupReview: After seeing a lactation consultant, I had one more issue with nursing that I needed addressed. My lactation consultant was amazing but the copay is $45 per session and her office is a bit of a hike from my home. Someone told me about the breastfeeding support group on Thursdays at Bend and Bloom Yoga for a $20 suggested donation (you can donate less if you want to). I went, and the lactation consultant there was able to help me address the issue and nursing was smooth sailing for me after that. It was also great to talk to other new moms in the session. It was such a nice option for addressing a small issue.Insurance: n/aBased on a August 2015 birth

Comment:  There's a new (amazing) baby-mama yoga teacher at Bend & Bloom, Jessica Phillips Lorenz. She teaches at Karma Kids Yoga in the city but is doing more in the slope now. She's a friend, fyi, but also I've taken her classes and can objectively say she's truly stand-out.

Comment:  After a 6 year break from Yoga- I started going to a place on Sackett between 4th- and 5th based on recommendations from neighbors. While the flow Vinyasa style they teach was not my favorite at first it grows on you after awhile and they have great family packages and also a lot of variety between classes and teachers. If your husband has back trouble- make sure you guys stick with Larah’s, Adhiti’s, and Megan’s classes at first. I pay 100 a month for unlimited but they have 10 class packs and so on. The space is very nice and they have tons of classes round the clock- again stick with basics classes for at least three months- and if you really want to see a difference make an effort to get there at least 2 x a week.Bend and Bloom- http://bendandbloom.com/After almost 8 months- I am feeling so much better from my membership there! But it takes time and most teachers do OM 3x at beginning- and end- FYI- but eventually it’s kinda nice.(December, 2010).

Comment:  I highly recommend prenatal yoga at Bend and Bloom Yoga on Sackett bet 4th and 5th. They have classes on Friday, Sat and Sun during the day and Tuesday evening. I think they are planning to add another evening. There are two teachers who have different styles--Beth is sort of more free flowing and relaxing and Lara, while she is also free flowing, might be a better place to start because of her very precise directions--especially if you are new to yoga. It really helps with a lot of the aches and pains and helps to prepare for labor and delivery. Many of the stretches and poses are suggestions you could find in a natural birthing book (they were in my Bradley method book) Beth also teaches a childbirth ed class and they both teach Yoga for Labor and Delivery workshops. It's also a good place to meet other moms...Good luck!(may 2010)

Comment:  I highly recommend a Bend & Bloom's Yoga class for 3-5 year olds on Wednesdays at 4pm. You can sign up for a multi week session or you can also drop in for $18 I think. It is really a creative movement class with some real yoga mixed in. The teacher is very open to having parents sit in as needed and they have tea in the waiting area for when your little one is ready to do the class herself. They also have a class specifically for parents and kids on Saturdays at 10am (parent and 3-7 year olds) which I've never been to but I'm sure it is great.(Recommended 11/08)
