Comment:  I love this small business and am so sad they are relocating. Like Scalino, though (another current thread in the digest), they are leaving because their rent is being raised. UGH.

Comment:  I second this! I just found them for the first time a few weeks ago, when I realized I had no shoes for my 1 year old and we were taking family pictures the next day! They have a GREAT selection and were super nice and helpful. It would be a real shame to lose them right after I found them!! Will definitely be stopping by to encourage them to stay!!

Comment:  Just wanted to give a HUGE shout out to A Shoe Grows in Brooklyn (located on 7th Avenue and 14th Street). This is one of my favorite stores in all of Brooklyn and by far and away THE BEST kids shoes store in the area. They are always patient, friendly, helpful and knowledgable and we always leave with exactly what we need. They have a great variety of brands, AND they have an amazing little play area where my kids spend an hour - we have to drag them out of there each time. We continue to travel across the Slope because they truly are the best.We just went in this weekend and they mentioned they may be closing the current location (they are having great sales right now so definitely go now!!). Let’s come out and support this amazing store that is a true gem to this community and show that they are needed and encourage them to reopen in a new location!

Comment:  Ditto -- they are just great there. Not only are they very friendly with toddlers and babies, I bought some awesome saltwater sandals for Mama there this summer, and they showed great customer service -- when a strap broke soon after purchase they arranged for a replacement pair (even when I was pretty late in bringing them back in, like "um, these broke right away but I know it's been like three weeks since...). Check it out!

Comment:  I just bought my 14-month-old his first "real" pair of shoes at this shop, and can't say enough great things about the experience. The staff was incredibly kid-friendly and sweet, helpful without being the least bit pushy. They measured his feet with ease and were very knowledgeable about timing of growth spurts, etc. The place has a great gated play area where little ones can try on shoes and walk around safely, and there are books and toys to keep them entertained. (My kid had so much fun, he didn't want to leave!)They're having a huge sale right now on their See Kai Run stuff; I got a pair of shoes at 50% off, cheaper than anywhere I can find online. Please check it out if you haven't already! The place just opened last year and I hope it sticks around a long time--I see myself going back again and again. http://www.ashoegrows.com/Not affiliated with the shop, just a new fan.

Comment:  I think every response suggested a new store called A Shoe Grows in Brooklyn (7th Ave at 14th St). We went last night. Unfortunately, they happened to be out of my son's size in the water shoes and he is between sizes in Crocs so they didn't fit. Bummer. But my daughter got the water shoes, which seem nice and reliable ($14). They had several colors and they are getting more in later this week, so we'll try to get back to get my son some shoes. The sales staff was nice and helpful and I definitely recommend the store for sneakers or water shoes. I have no affiliation with them.

Comment:  I was just in a new shop on 7th Ave (between 13th & 14th St.) yesterday, called A Shoe Grows in Brooklyn & they sold Crocs in all sorts of sizes. They had some other kind of water shoe too, but I don't know the brand. I ended up buying some sneakers for my daughter. It's a cute place with kid & adult sized shoes.
